Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 12 -14 April 2017, the annual EcoBuild South East Asia event, hosted by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia and organized by UBM Malaysia is a leading event within the region for sustainable design, construction as well as renewable energy showcase.
The event features an exhibition showcasing the latest products, technologies and innovations in the industry, conferences and seminars.
Among the key conferences that were held are International Construction Safety Leadership Conference and Round Table Discussion on Instilling Safety Culture in Construction that drew in more than 15,000 local and international visitors.
Eco Club Malaysia had the opportunity to share a booth with The Plus Magazine, rubbing shoulders with the big guns in the industry to work hand in hand on the idea of sustainable building as well as getting feedback on how to best address the issue of construction safety.
Two competitions were held in conjunction with the 17th International Construction Week, namely the MSSA/CIDB Open Ideas Competition 2017 – Youth Dome in Steel (YouDo) Prize Award Ceremony and Chemical Research Paper Competition for Undergraduate and Postgraduate by The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia.
