Eco Club Malaysia and KAGC to Develop Green Solution for the Built Environment
Eco Club Malaysia (ECM) and KAGC College of Malaysia is pleased to announce its long-term partnership with multiple organizations and individuals which included The Plus Communications SDN BHD, Build for Tomorrow, Fleming events, Tadom Hill Resorts, Mr. Lew Voon Khong, Mr. International Malaysia, Sous Chef of Istana Hotel, Chef Ismail bin Md. Yusoff and Varsity Assist to develop viable solutions to pressing environmental challenges.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Madam Lily, CEO of KAGC and Head of committee of Eco Club Malaysia, Mr. Simon Wong, CEO of The Plus Communications SDN BHD, Mr. Rubén Cortés, founder of Build for Tomorrow, Miss Nazira Yergaliyeva, Community Relations Specialist of Fleming, Mr. Lucas Loo, Executive Officer of Tadom Hill Resort, Mr. Lew Voon Khong, Mr. International Malaysia, Chef Ismail bin Md. Yusoff, sous chef of Istana Hotel and Mr. Peter Tang, Operation Director of Varsity Assist. Witnessing the signing ceremony was honorable Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Yahaya bin Ibrahim, Pro Chancellor of University Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Mr. Azizul Azrin, Officer of MoHE, Mr. Abdul Fattah, Ambassador of Somalia Embassy and Dr. Samir, Ambassador of Libya Embassy. Also present at the ceremony was Mr. Kevin Chan, General Manager of Eco Club Malaysia and Mr. Michael Yee, Head of Academy at KAGC.

The MoU signifies the intention to collaborate closely on developing workable solutions to ensure the sustainability of the environment. It will provide a framework for join research, project and movement to develop innovative features and solutions in the environmental aspects of green technology development, green building management, renewal energy and agro-technology management. The scope of the collaboration will include joint research and project initiative, the pooling and exchange of ideas, expertise and resources; as well as the joint organization and participation in conferences and seminars on environmental issues hosted by Eco Club Malaysia.
Honorable Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Yahaya bin Ibrahim, Pro Chancellor of University Pendidikan Sultan Idris said, “With the multi-organizations and disciplinary green approach, ECM and KAGC is confident that the collaboration will provide a comprehensive foundation for students and professionals, particularly those who have an influential role in the management of the environment for the benefits of society. Through this new partnership with ECM and KAGC, students and faculty members will have the opportunity to engage in actual projects in a real-life environment and appreciate the needs of green technology, green buildings and the challenges of resource conservation in a small and very densely populated city. These Collaborative efforts are expected to reap results that will enhance Malaysian’s reputation with intelligent and environmentally-friendly development.
